Privacy & Cookies

How we handle your information when you visit our website or contact us.

Who is responsible for your information?

Midlands Electronic Solutions Limited is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 13055614. Our registered office is 196 Stallington Road, Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent, ST11 9PA, England.

For privacy questions or requests, email mes@led-o.ddns.net or write to our registered office.

What we collect and why

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message, plus your company and product reference if you choose to provide them. We also record the IP address used to submit the form. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.

We use enquiry details to respond to product, business and support questions. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us and running our business. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, we may process information for those steps.

We use technical information, including IP addresses, session information and server logs, to operate, troubleshoot and protect the website. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and reliable service. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

How long we keep information

Website contact-form submissions, including the recorded IP address, are retained for three calendar months from submission. A daily automated task deletes older records from the live website database.

Email correspondence is stored separately from the website database. We aim to retain enquiry correspondence for three months, unless it is needed for an ongoing matter or a legal obligation. Any longer retention must be limited to what is necessary for that purpose. The website deletion task does not delete emails, server logs or backup copies.

Who can access information

Enquiry records are accessible to authorised people handling enquiries. Website hosting, database and email services may also process information to provide those services. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and website tracking

The website uses a session cookie to support form security, submission rate limits and administrator sign-in. It identifies a browser session; it is not an advertising cookie. Its lifetime is managed by the session configuration and your browser.

We have not added analytics or advertising tracking to this website. You can manage cookies in your browser, but blocking the session cookie may prevent the contact form or administrator sign-in from working. You can still contact us by email.

External links take you to other websites, whose own privacy and cookie notices apply.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, erasure or restriction of its use. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability may apply where its legal conditions are met. These rights are not absolute.

Contact us using the details above to exercise a right. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.
